PGCMS partners with MedChi in advocacy regarding public policy, laws, and regulations that impact the practice of medicine, patients, and the public health. As a member physician, you will receive regular updates about legislative actions; you will also have the opportunity to participate in setting our legislative agenda, policy positions and participating in the legislative process.
Introduction to Legislative Advocacy
State Legislators make a lot of decisions that impact the practice of medicine, including scope of practice, medical liability, prescription drug regulations, access to healthcare, and public health policies. The physicians of PGCMS play a critical role in educating legislators so that they can make informed decisions.
